What is Sekhem and where did it originate from?
There are many healing systems, operating on different frequencies and vibrational levels. Most people are familiar with Reiki which emerged in the Western world in the 1970s followed by Seichim. Even though some practitioners believe that Reiki and Seichim are the roots of energy healing, scrolls found in ancient Egyptian ruins suggest that Sekhem pre-dates both Reiki and Seichim.
Sekhem is believed to be the healing energy taught and practiced by the Priesthood in the temples of ancient Egypt, prior to that its origins were in both Atlanta and Lemuria. The scrolls that have been found indicate that Sekhem means ‘Power’ or ‘Might’.
About Sekhem
Sekhem is an ancient Egyptian healing system which is passed from Master to Student through an initiation process. Unlike Reiki, the initiation is performed on a one to one basis ensuring a memorable moment for this individual experience.
Sekhem is not just a healing energy, it is a complete energy system working instantaneously on the body, mind, emotions and subtle spiritual bodies. Working on all the energy bodies simultaneously results in the avoidance of a healing crisis and is a great aid in spiritual development.
The energy is very balanced and has a gentle loving aspect that currently is attributed to being feminine, mankind having lost the balance of male and female in the last 2500 years. That balance must return, not just between the sexes but within each individual and Sekhem helps us to do this very quickly and with great ease. Sekhem quickly restores emotional balance with each healing or initiation.
Sekhem works on a totally different concept and philosophy to other healing energy systems. Like intuition Sekhem operates beyond time and space, right down to the core of our problems and belief systems at should level. Because of its vibration the process for healing is activated through conscious thought forms and intentions and the intensity can be controlled and varied at will by the giver. It is often described as the nearest thing to unconditional love that could be experienced.
At the very least it is a deeply relaxing and life changing experience.
Sekhmet
The Sekhem energy has a close connection to the Egyptian lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet – ‘the Goddess of a thousand names’, who acts as both guardian and protection of this healing energy. Sekhmet is strongly linked with the star Sirius, the brightest star in the sky and, according to myth and legend, was present at the Creation of our Universe. She is considered to be the Goddess of Regeneration and Healing and destroys that which no longer serves us, and brings healing to the world.
Are Reiki and Sekhem the same?
History tells us that Sekhem pre-dates Reiki, and it is thought that Reiki and Seichim are offshoots of the Sekhem system. Many scholars and monks travelled to Egypt to learn Sekhem and then modified the energy to suit their own spiritual beliefs, practices and philosophies. The gradual changes resulted in a loss of the vibrational quality of the energy giving rise to different vibrations between Sekhem, Reiki and Seichim.
There are in our times many different forms of Reiki as different Masters have modified and energy and system to suit themselves or their cultures. The ancient Egyptian Sekhem carries its own energy and not that of Reiki and it should therefore not be confused with ancient Egyptian Reiki, Reiki or Seichim Reiki.

How does Sekhem energy work?
Sekhem uses symbols in 3D, linking to the science of the pyramids. There are many symbols at each training level, with some including access to inter-dimensional portals.
During a healing session, the practitioner will place their hands mainly over the fully clothed body and direct the Sekhem energy to where it is needed most.
Every recipient receives the energy at the level that is right for them, and provides a deeply relaxing and life changing experience.

About Patricia – your Master Teacher
Patricia uses an holistic approach and has therefore learned many different therapies. She became a Master Teacher of Usui Reiki, Tibetan, Karuna, Seichim, Seichem, Original 7 Degree System and Raku Kei, in 1999. A year later after giving healings and teachings in Usui Reiki she learned Sekhem from Helen Belot who gave form to this ancient Egyptian energy. In the intervening period the balance of emotions within Patricia had changed and she found she resonated more with the unconditional love and compassion of the Sekhem Energy.
