Reiki I (Shoden)
Reiki I is taught in a one day intensive. The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience.
Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, the self -treatment, practice using the level I symbol and practice using all the Japanese Reiki Techniques for this level.
1st degree or Shoden level uses a single initiation to open the student up to receive and channel Reiki energy. Once the student is tuned in, the ability to give Reiki can never be lost.
Reiki is suitable for anyone who wants to experience health and wellbeing and change their lives for the better in the process. Reiki is not just a healing system, but a system that will change your life forever, truly empowering.
Bryan teaches the Original Japanese Techniques used by Dr Usui himself along with traditional Western style Reiki as taught by most other Reiki Masters. Unlike most other Reiki Masters, Bryan will also attune you to the first Reiki symbol which will add to your options when channelling the Reiki Energy.
At StarChild we will not undertake back to back courses, so we insist on at least one month between the different levels, this is for the benefit of the student and will allow you to gain more understanding of the energy at each level.
Taking Reiki I with StarChild will automatically allow you to attend our monthly Reiki Shares, and would encourage our students to start shares wherever they are, and we would do our best to attend these whenever possible. This forms part of our commitment to your ongoing training and we are always available to answer your questions either in person, over the phone or via email.

While practice takes place during the class, it is expected that you will set aside additional time to practice after the class is over. It is important that you attend the Reiki Shares, committing to these shares is necessary to gain the experience and confidence you need to fully utilise the Reiki training.
