History of Cymatics and Cymatherapy
The history of Cymatics started in ancient times when Pythagoras used sound to stimulate healing within the body, mind and soul. The belief that sound can support healing has been used by many of the world’s cultures, from the most ancient Hindu mantra practice to the rituals of Chinese healers, South American shamans and Sufi mystics.
In the 18th century the German scientist and musician Ernst Chaldni drew a violin bow around
the edge of a plate covered with fine sand, and noted that the sand formed intricate geometric patterns.
In the 1960s, in more sophisticated experiments, Swiss scientist Dr. Hans Jenny produced beautiful and intricate patterns by placing sand, fluid and powders on metal plates and vibrating them with a special frequency generator and a speaker.
Dr. Jenny coined the term cymatics (from the Greek kyma, meaning "wave" and ta kymatica, meaning "matters pertaining to waves") to describe the study of wave phenomena.
Peter Guy Manners was one of the pioneers who applied the cymatics research of Dr. Jenny and others to the field of holistic healing with exceptional results.

When the vibration of any of these changes the result is ill health or dis-ease of that particular part of the body.
